All right, after a few hours…. It’s from the cover of the 17 February 1968 Eagle and Boys’ World, a copy was recently donated to the Kirby Museum by collector, scholar and longtime supporter Tom Morehouse. BONUS: look at how they grey-toned and turned Kirby’s five page story into two pages.

Ok, we know it’s been three weeks since our last post - - here’s a scan of Kirby’s pencil art for the final splash from “Spawn” (New Gods 5, Oct-Nov 1971) to try to make up for it.

“This way for action!” - a full sized photocopy of Jack Kirby’s pencil art for the cover for his story “The Rocks Are Burning!” that was first published by Marvel Comics in Captain America 197, dated May 1976.
